Motion Seismology
Basic research interests are observing, analyzing and predicting strong
motion from earthquakes. Following up on these interests involves dissecting
the problem into more manageable pieces: collecting data, modeling the
earthquake process itself, and understanding wave propagation in
heterogeneous geological structures.
