The Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship program
is an NSF-funded initiative for improving the quality and relevance of graduate education.

This grant provides about $2.9 million over 5 years. There are about 20 IGERT grant awards made each year nationwide.

This UCSB IGERT Program is in the area of Computational Science and Engineering (CSE), with an emphasis on multiscale problems from engineering and science.

The UCSB IGERT program in CSE is prestigious and competitive. Each year we expect to award IGERT fellowships to only about 6 incoming graduate students throughout the whole of UCSB.
