A postdoctoral position is available in the Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) Research Group at the University of California Santa Barbara, in the area of computational methods for modeling of electrodeposition processes. The CSE Research Group is seeking a highly talented and committed individual with an ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary research environment. The successful candidate will be involved in the development of algorithms and software for multiscale modeling of electrodeposition processes.

Positions are available immediately for a period of one year, renewable to two years. Applicants must have a PhD in applied mathematics, computer science or engineering, with relevant background in computational methods. A background in Monte Carlo methods, multigrid algorithms or level set methods is desirable but not essential. The candidate must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Interested applicants should contact Linda Petzold (petzold@engineering.ucsb.edu) for further inquiry, or can directly send curriculum vitae and a statement of research interests, and have two letters of reference sent to: Professor Linda Petzold, Dept. of Computer Science, University of California, Santa Barbara CA, 93106.
