financial aid

Financial aid is available to students undertaking the CSE emphasis through a wide variety of University and College fellowships and through assistantships, both for research and teaching. For information about support, see the UCSB Financial Aid Office Web site.

The CSE Program has been awarded an NSF IGERT (Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship) grant of about $2.9 million over 5 years. There are about 20 IGERT grant awards made each year nationwide. As part of the UCSB IGERT program in CSE, 6 incoming graduate students will be awarded IGERT fellowships.

Prospective students will be considered for financial aid at the time of application according to the policies of the participating department to which they are applying.
