PATRICK SHEPPARD:
Patrick is in his third year of graduate studies, working with Dr. Mustafa Khammash in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. His research interests are the development of modeling techniques for complex biological signaling networks, such as those involved in the glial cell response to ischemia. He came to UCSB in 2006 after receiving his B.E. at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.
