HONG LI:

On June 3, 2008 Hong defended her thesis entitled, “High Performance Stochastic Simulation Methods for Chemically Reacting Systems”. As a PH.D candidate in the Department of Computer Science, Hong worked with Professor Linda Petzold in the Systems Biology Research Focus Group. Hong continues her work with Professor Petzold as an Assistant Researcher.

Hong received her Masters Degrees in Computer Science from UCSB and her B.S. from Peking University, China.

Research Interests:

• Multiscale Algorithms and Software for Stochastic Simulationm

• Parallel Stochastic Algorithms

• Stochastic Simulation of Biochemical Systems
