TANYA CHANTAWANSRI:

On March 12, 2009 Tanya defended her thesis entitled, “Self-Consistent Field Theory Simulations of Polymers on the Surface of a Sphere”. She will be moving to Maryland to begin a postdoc in the Army Research Lab.

As a student in Chemical Engineering Tanya worked with Glenn Fredrickson, Hector Ceniceros (Math), and Carlos Garcia-Cervera (Math). Tanya research focus is in polymer physics. She was engaged in implementing a numerical simulation of semi-flexible polymer (liquid crystalline polymers) using the Kratky-Porod ideal chain model and a Maier-Saupe pair potential of mean force.
